About the Author

I am currently finalizing my Advanced Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, at KU Leuven, focused on theoretical and applied Data Science (‘Data Mining’, ‘Machine Learning and Inductive Inference’, ‘Advanced Analytics in a Big Data World’...).

I am also a Civil Engineering graduate from a top university in Lebanon. During my Civil Engineering years, I specialized in traffic engineering, public work and transportation. My final year project was about improving the traffic flow in one of the biggest cities of Lebanon, Tripoli. My interest in knowing what the advanced countries are currently using to monitor and improve their traffic flow efficiency led me to apply to the MoAI.

At the beginning of my MoAI, I wanted to specialize in Computer Vision so I can work in the field of Traffic Engineering. However, I discovered along the way my passion to other kinds of data. Not to mention that the job market for traffic engineers with CV specialization was a niche market.

Currently, I work in the Food Processing industry as a Data Analyst with exposure to Data Science. My current career goals are to improve my current skillset in the field of Data Analysis, so I can jump freely between the two tracks (DS, DA).
